Captain’s Bar and Lounges
The Captain’s Bar is our resident bar at the hotel, named after Captain Thomas Stocks one of our founders. It is a very cosy, rustic and relaxed bar perfect for relaxing in the evening. It is open Friday & Saturday evenings and Sunday Lunchtime. It is the perfect place to relax and have a drink with some friends and another example of the diverse and charming rooms you can enjoy in our heritage hotel.
It is also perfect for intimate occasions whether it be a funeral or a birthday party. With panoramic windows across the front of the hotel Captain’s Bar offers lots of natural daylight, so it is perfect for gatherings of up to 40 people. Next to the Captains bar are two small lounges. The Coffee Lounge and The Blue Room. These rooms are always open for guests to use and they are great cosy nooks to catch up with your friends. They can be privately hired if you want a small space for a meeting or just a catch-up.
