The BEST WESTERN PREMIER Mount Pleasant Hotel is the ideal location for all types of photographic imagery and in most recent times has been part of the images for the Yorkshire Outlet Spring Shoot, and Ann Summers Shoot for LoveMannequinn.com, Ched 53, Kate Broadhead- 78 Design.
Ched 53 – Flourescent Bounds
Working at the Mount Pleasant Hotel for the second time provided me with the opportunity to get a little more adventurous than my original shoot a few months earlier.
What I wanted to create was something that was quite dark and making use of a variety of textures. To get that added edge and a burst of colour, I wanted to make use of a neon glow which I think worked well against the clothing and the oiled skin.
Our model for the day was Midlands based Emma Kate Dawson, whose majority of experience had come in glamour modeling, but we felt that her build and angular jawline made her well suited for what we were doing. The shoot was styled by Marie McDonaugh, who I have worked with regularly on recent projects. Make-up and hair was done by Shahena Newton from Lincoln.

Over the last few months the Mount Pleasant hotel have been kind enough to let me use their fabulous grounds and rooms for even more shoots! We had the shoot for new ASOS vintage bridal boutique Amazing Grace, where the traditional style of the hotel really complemented the wedding dresses! Then there have been some more portfolio shoots, ballet dancer Abbey and twins Bronia and Theresa Andryszewski who were lucky to see some of this years first sunshine and we made the most of it in the beautiful gardens!
Keep updated for more shoots to come in the hotels’ new spa suites!
Kate Broadhead – ASOS & Lingerie
“78 Design is a local, Doncaster based company run by myself, Kate Broadhead. I am a Photographer who covers corporate events, weddings, commercial fashion and personal portfolio work. I had the opportunity to use the facilities at the mount Pleasant hotel for my latest christmas shoot for ASOS Marketplace, for vintage clothing brand Retro-Fix. I also worked on a portfolio shoot for two models, Sophie Westerman and Sheerena Byrne. The theme was ‘Boudoir’ so we really wanted traditional style rooms that would reflect the vintage mood of the shoot.
The suites were fantastic, giving us tons of opportunity to be creative, particularly the copper bathtub! Massive thanks again to the hotel for being so courteous and hopefully will allow us to return on the future!”

Aaron Cheeseman – Abi Photoshoot
Juggling graphic design & photography isn’t easy, but everyday is different and I love to be challenged. My name is Aaron Cheeseman. I’m a designer, a photographer and as irrelevant as it may be, I am quite likely to be one of the tallest people you will ever meet.
Whilst studying Graphic Design at Lincoln University, I developed a knack for photography and it has been something which has stuck with me ever since. Today, I am based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire working as both designer and photographer. As I continue to strive for perfection in the projects which I undertake, I work tirelessly to develop and refine my portfolio whilst undertaking commissions.
I’ve worked with Abi a couple of times in the past, where she’s been our make-up artist on a shoot. Recently though, she contacted me asking for a shoot of her own, as she is looking to pursue some modelling work. Our venue for the shoot was the Mount Pleasant Hotel. This place is fantastic! They provided 3 of their finest suites for us to use and they really were great quality. I urge anyone to check this place out, because the rooms and the grounds really are beautiful.
Unfortunately, I came away from this little shoot with a feeling of regret because in truth, we barely even scratched the surface on the possibilities that were there for us on the day. Abi had been pre-booked, doing the make-up for a fashion shoot in Leeds and wasn’t able to make it too the Hotel until gone 5pm. After the usual hair and make-up preparation, this left us with hardly any time to really make the most of our surroundings.
An opportunity missed perhaps, but hopefully I will be returning there very soon to shoot again.
